The changing distribution of domestic PV Feed-in-Tariff installations

Here is a great graphic from our friends at Regen showing “domestic PV in England seemingly see-sawing from being a technology “for the rich”, to being installed in the richest and poorest areas reasonably evenly. During 2017 and 2018 we have seen a swing back, with particularly the poorest areas installing considerably less solar than others.”

This represents the decrease in “free” solar with the changing tariffs. Its the nearest we have seen on the free versus paid for installation market in the UK. With tariffs set to disappear and storage becoming the best way to maximise return we expect this trend to continue. However at Catch Energy we are addressing this imbalance with partners that do have funding available in the UK for social housing schemes (subject to qualification). Get in touch to find out more about our 10 year warrantied home storage system which benefits from being one of the lowest cost systems on the market. If you are Housing Association or similar why not ask us about our funding schemes.
